Welcome to Shiloh Chapel! We are guests in this special place. For over 100
years people have come here to find the Lord Jesus more real in their lives. We
are happy to have each of you here. We want to all enjoy our time together
sharing our faith and friendship. Here are a few guidelines to help us make the
most of our time:
- Campers will obey, cooperate, and show respect towards the staff and each
other.
- Attend and participate in all meeting, meals, activities, and organized
sports unless you are sick. Participation is important for everyone
having fun this week. If you are sick please notify your team leader who in
turn will notify the administration to make sure you get proper care.
- During meetings, show respect for God and for the speaker by being quiet.
- Stay within the campgrounds as outlined during your tour and/or welcome
meeting.
Campers will remain in their dormitories from curfew until breakfast. If
you have a special need during the night, please wake-up your team leader
(counselor) to help you.
All visiting, especially with the opposite sex should be in well lighted
public area and Christian in conduct. We expect everyone to conduct themselves
as Christians in language and actions.
To make a telephone call, see your team leader. All calls musts be by
prepaid calling card, credit card or collect.
If you forgot to bring something see your team leader.
If you need first aid attention contact the first staff person you see or
go to the dining hall.
Absolutely NO matches or lighters are allowed for fire safety.
No tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
Do not bring or use personal CD players, radios, walkmans, etc.
You may ride bikes and scooters during free time in designated areas.
Helmets must be worn when riding. Only one person riding a bike or scooter at
a time. Only ride your own bike. No lending or borrowing other’s bikes and
scooters.
Dress Code: Everyone is expected to dress modestly. For girls: no string strap tank tops, midriffs must be completely
covered at all times, bathing suits should be modest one piece style or a
large T-shirt may be worn over a two piece. For guys: You will always wear
shirts unless swimming. All camper’s shorts should be mid-thigh length.
Campers should be prepared to accept the decision of their team leader
(counselor) changing their clothes upon request.
In the event that the rules are not followed the staff reserves the right
to contact parents to discuss appropriate actions which could result in your
being asked to go home.
